Recording Technical Notes


RETRIEVAL was recorded at OTIC sound in Vancouver, BC by Josh Stevenson.  Josh had and still has an amazing collection of rare synthesizers.

Overdubs for Retrieval were recorded by Alex Barnett at home in Chicago with a Korg Lambda, Moog Prodigy, and drum cutups from a Synthi-A tracked at OTIC.  Additional overdub performances by Faith Coloccia were recorded by Aaron Turner in Vashon, WA with the help of Randall Dunn's Polysix and Faith's exploratory field recordings.

WELD was recorded at Psychic Western Electronic Music Studio in Los Angeles, CA by Sean Angelo.  Sean has a well-curated selection of vintage synthesizers including the Moog Memorymoog and Octave Cat, which were used heavily on the record.  Brian Foote assisted with the loan of a TR 909.

Overdubs for Weld were recorded by Alex Barnett and Aaron Turner in Vashon, WA using a selection of equipment assembled for this recording.
